Themed wedding table – what should you keep in mind?

Organizing a wedding is like a big, bubbling pot. It’s filled with an endless list of ingredients. Couples have to think about many things at once to ensure their big day is perfect in every detail. Preparing the wedding venue is one of the main points that brings the most puzzles and decisions to be made. One of these elements is wedding tables, which need to be decorated appropriately to look beautiful and elegant, but also to avoid unnecessary clutter. On top of that, there are themed tables, which are hard to imagine a wedding without.

Themed tables – lots of flavor in small decorations

The most typical themed tables are rustic or candy bars. It could also be a cheese table, a sushi station, or a finger food bar. It is worth ensuring that such a table, besides delicious snacks, is also properly decorated. Wedding table decoration is quite an individual matter, as it should correspond with the decor of the rest of the venue and even the character of the entire wedding if you decide on a themed party. However, it is worth remembering that the amount of decoration should be rather subtle. Expressive but small accents like small flower bouquets, color-coordinated napkins, or food picks will be appropriate.

The most important wedding table

The Bride and Groom's table decoration is the most important point on our list – after all, all eyes will be on it that evening. It is usually set against a backdrop, and a unique floral arrangement is proudly displayed on it. However, we can modify this and opt for a series of small flower pots. They will look beautiful without blocking the view of the Bride and Groom. The Bride and Groom's table decoration, despite being the most important, should not be overdone so as not to distract from the newlyweds, but rather serve as a complement to the overall look.

Shapes and colors

To ensure our guests can enjoy this time with us as much as possible, we need to make sure every wedding table looks great. Decorations should be matched to the shape of the table. Depending on whether the tables are rectangular or round, we can decide on different floral arrangements. Whether it will be floral runners, single flowers, or small bouquets in vases depends on our preferences. It is worth establishing a color palette within which we will choose various decorative elements so that everything matches but isn't overwhelmed by a single color.

New versions of practical solutions

When looking for original solutions, we can come across some truly interesting wedding table decorations. New trends in this area are usually refined versions of previously known solutions. Place cards, which help us seat guests at tables without any trouble, can now be a decoration in themselves, rather than just a card with a name. The same applies to, for example, food picks. We could describe them as an improved version of toothpicks or disposable forks. Besides their functional use (thanks to them, we can pick up individual portions of snacks without getting our hands dirty), they will additionally serve as an ornament. Furthermore, table numbers or the way napkins are folded — everything treated in the right way will constitute a wedding table decoration. Using mandatory elements on the table in such a decorative way is a great opportunity to leave more space for food and tableware without compromising the beauty of the wedding tables.

Every detail matters

Subtle and elegant wedding table decorations are an important issue to ensure the entire venue looks perfect on the wedding day. A practical approach to ornaments, which involves using the potential of every item on the table to turn it into a decoration, is a great way to limit expenses and leave free space on the table so it isn't unnecessarily cluttered with various trinkets. Furthermore, in such a setting, flowers and candles will look beautiful, adding freshness and sophistication. A wedding table prepared this way will delight not only the palate but also our eyes and those of our guests.
